RESONANCE creates improvised performances in unique and special places using found sounds, instruments, tape loops, and live processing. Every performance responds to the sounds of the particular place woven with guitar, harp, piano, and spoken word to create textures that range from delicate and ambient to dense noise. That focus on place is amplified by the performers being in and amongst the audience – and the performances happening in ‘non-traditional’ locations. In June 2022, the first performance took place in Hull’s Rooted community garden followed by a performance next to Hull’s iconic tidal barrier as part of the Freedom Festival in August 2022.
