This was the second release from the Middlewood Sessions project, released on Wah Wah 45s. ‘Red Waters’ features a driving Latin-inspired riff while ‘Astro Blue’ amasses the full forces of strings and horns to create widescreen textures over some intricate percussion work.
‘Red Waters’ and another single, ‘Used to Be’, were both included on Wah Wah 45s’ compilation Underground Hits & Exclusive Bits Three.
